Your Role In The Great Harvest Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional December 21, 2017
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 1 Corinthians 3:1-7
TODAY'S RHEMA 1 Corinthians 3:6 "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase."
The verse we just read above is the letter of Apostle Paul to the Corinthians. He appealed to them not to engage in a fight among others. Also, he reminded them that everyone could be used by God to share the Gospel and to edify the church wherever God places them. So, no man may boast being the most righteous or as the one who saves most souls. It is also not about who was sharing the Gospel with the people or who pastors them. But let all the workers understand that God is the Owner of the souls. God gives them increase in their spiritual growth and He becomes the most important in their minds.
The letter also tells us that God will send a great harvest, as long as there are people who 'plant the seed' in the life of the souls by giving testimony or sharing the Gospel and to 'water' them by pastoring them. If there are people like this, we will win souls in our family, in our workplace, and everywhere God puts us. It is not an impossible thing for us to win the city and the nation where we live in for God's glory.
Christmas season is a good opportunity for us to start to 'plant'. Remember that Jesus was born into the world to save all human beings, not only us. That's why we have to go and work. If we desire our family members or relatives, our fellow workers, our neighbor to know God, we must take action. Invite them to the service. Do not think anything negative like rejection or any other response. To make them come is God's work. Just play your role faithfully, and leave the rest in God's hands. We plant and water, and God will give the increase. We are the parts of the great divine harvest. Amen.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Play your role TO FIGHT FOR THE LOST, and God will DO THE GREAT DIVINE HARVEST.
APPLICATIONS 1. Have you fought for the lost? If you haven't, what things do hinder you? 2. Why do you need to get rid of all the hindrances and fight for them? 3. What can you do to start fighting for the lost?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Abba Father, here I am. I want to take part in the great divine harvest. Strengthen me that I may play my role in fighting for the salvation of the lost. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
