The Access God's Intervention Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional December 31, 2017
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL PSALMS 37:1-11
TODAY'S RHEMA Psalms 37:5 "Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:"
One day, a clothes businessman was experiencing a crisis in his business. He was thinking very hard to find how to increase his sales. After discussing with his partner, he got an idea to make clothes which he hadn't ever made. When he went shopping, he saw a lot of discounted materials. He immediately bought it all without praying or asked God first. He was optimistic that that material will increase his sale. But that material gave him nothing on sales. Instead, he suffered a big loss.
When we face a problem in our job, most of the time the first thing that we do is thinking. We are busy looking for a solution with our own power. When we can't find the solution, we look to find an expert to help us. Imagine, how Mary was pregnant and almost broke up with her fiancée. She wasn't busy trying to convince Joseph not to let her go. Mary realized that God is the only answer. So in the end, God miraculously intervened in her life.
Sometimes it appears God doesn't do anything not because he doesn't want to, but because we don't allow him to. You must know that our God is a great God, but He never forces us about anything. If we don't give access to our life, he won't force us. On the other hand, God's intervention will be seen in our lives if we surrender to Him. He will show us the way and do his miracle. Our part is to believe and give him the full access to our lives.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God is almighty, but not a God of coercion. If you don't give Him access, he won't intervene in your life.
APPLICATIONS 1. Have you given Him access to intervene in your life? 2. For you, why is it important to give God an access to your life? 3. How can God intervene in your life?
TODAY'S PRAYER "God forgive me if I often rely on my own strength and close my heart to You so You can't enter and intervene in my life. Starting from today, I want to learn to surrender and trust my life to Your hand and care. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
