Have you seen the superhero movie entitled Ant-Man? This movie is about the life of Scott Lang, a superhero who had the ability to shrink in size from a man to that of an ant anytime he wore his costume. Not only that, but he also could mobilize ants to do his bidding. However, to accomplish his mission, in the beginning, he had to go the extra mile to train the ants so they could become his soldier.
Training the ants was not easy. To communicate, Scott Lang had to use special tools that could send a signal at a frequency that only can be heard by ants. He also had to build a connection with the ants first until the time they had to carry out his order. Long story short, at the end the ants always wanted to listen to Scott Lang's voice, and they completed the mission to save the world together.
This story is similar to our relationship to God. God has a great vision and mission for our lives. But, to be able to complete the vision together, we have to be on the same frequency with Him so as to hear His voice. That is why we need to rid our minds of worldly issues. When we focus our life on God and His word, our spiritual ears will be better open to listening to His voice that gives us His guidance. Not only that, we have to be ready and willing to follow as He leads. That way, we can be sure of not missing it in life. That way, we will be used to do great things for and with God and experience Him deeper.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, To receive GOD'S AMAZING GUIDANCE, you must be WILLING and READY to listen and follow GOD'S VOICE.
APPLICATIONS 1. Have you been able to listen to God's voice? 2. Why does God want us to accept His amazing guidance? 3. What can you prepare yourself to be led and follow God's voice?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Dear Lord, I want to learn to be more attentive to Your Voice. I want to accept Your guidance. I want to experience You deeper so You can use me more in doing great things for and with You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
