Han Soo is so proud of his sister. His sister is the prettiest and most sincere girl in a small town where they live. However, years later, when they already lived in Seoul, her older sister revealed her biggest secret. Apparently, a few years ago her sister became pregnant out of wedlock. She covered her pregnancy and hide her baby. With great regret, his sister said, "You must be disappointed with me. Sorry for hiding the truth from you." Yes, the world of Han Soo is indeed turned upside down. However, he gently replied, "You still don't understand me? I will never be disappointed in you, no matter what you do." This is a scene from the Korean drama "That Sun in the Sky".
Han Soo's words imply that his love for his sister is greater than anything else. Even though he was disappointed or angry at his sister, but his sense of affection overcame all other feelings. Indeed he is proud of his sister, but also he loves his sister as she is.
Beyond love between siblings, beyond the love of parents to their children, and far beyond love between romantic couples, God's love for us is even deeper. There are no big mistakes that God cannot overcome. Even He knows our mistakes long before we do all that. However, not for a second did God leave us. In our darkest times, when our sins are too bad, God still chooses to love us. That is why God gave His life on the cross to eliminate our sins and give His infinite forgiveness. Therefore, in our personal prayer time, when worshiping, or in Tabernacle of David, we should come to God with confidence. Throw ourselves into His mercy. Yes, we don't need to be perfect first to experience His love even deeper. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Even though you DON'T DESERVE of God's love, God will STILL LOVE you. APPLICATIONS 1. What makes you feel unworthy before God? 2. Why shouldn't all prevent you from coming to God? 3. How can you strengthen your heart to receive God's love? PRAYER FOR TODAY "Heavenly Father, I thank you for your great love for me. Thank you for making me deserve, even though I am not worthy of receiving Him. I want, O Lord, to experience Your love even deeper in my life so that I can share it with the people around me. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen. "
