TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Acts 9:1-22
TODAY'S RHEMA Acts 9:17 "And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.""
Cruel, though, cold-blooded killer, that's the figure of Saul. He was known as a man who eager to jail and persecute the people of God. And even the stoning of Steven to death was also the proof of Saul's cruelty and mercilessness. It's hard to expect that Saul could grow a heart of compassion and love, as a human being; however, at Damascus road, he met Jesus in person. The light shone around him from heaven blinded his physical eyes for three days, and Ananias came to Saul and prayed for him to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Miraculously, a cruel and cold-blooded killer Saul met Holy Spirit in person and he was changed to a loving hearted person and even preached Christ.
A lot of people think of impossibility of changes in their life and even their family. However, from the above story, we can clearly see that there is nothing impossible for God. Holy Spirit can touch and change our heart no matter how hard it is. His touch could open our eyes to see the depth of His love and so, our encounter with the Holy Spirit could soften our hearts and change our life filled with overflowing love.
Have a personal encounter with God and ask Him to change your life through experiencing His love. Just as what He did to Saul, let Him work in our life too. God can change the old fruits to the new spiritual fruits in our life. From passivity to dynamic, from laziness to serve God become a mighty soldier for God. God can use every one of us to be a vessel for his Glory, to show the love of God to everyone surrounds us and brings revival wherever we are.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH GOD and FULFILLMENT OF the HOLY SPIRIT can make your life be FULL WITH THE LOVE OF GOD.
APPLICATION 1. Do you believe that you and your family can be changed? Why? 2. Have you and your family experienced a personal encounter with God? Why do we need to experience a personal encounter with God? 3. How can you fill your life with the love of God?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, I long to have an encounter with You. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, so that my heart be filled with Your Heart. In Jesu's name, I pray. Amen."
