Be Patient In Winning Souls For Christ Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional October 25, 2017
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Proverbs 16:20-32
TODAY'S RHEMA Proverbs 16:32 "Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city."
Long ago, cities in Israel were surrounded by defensive walls. The walls were built to protect the citizen from the enemy. However, many were trying to occupy those cities. Of course, to be able to enter the city, they had to have a perfect strategy and advanced weapons. One more important thing they should have was a high level of patience. They had to wait for the right timing to invade. The armies seemed silent and did nothing, it didn't mean that they were afraid or weak. They were waiting for the citizen to be unguarded and when the time was right, they penetrated the cities and attacked.
In our daily lives, we often have to face people or circumstances that test our patience. It can be our parents or our children's attitude, harsh leaders, or unfriendly workmates. As believers, we must overcome every trial with patience, because patience is one of the fruit of Spirit that we shall produce. Being patient doesn't mean we are doing nothing, or weak or powerless. We must become a strong person who rebukes other people with wisdom and love that they are not hurt and want to change. If we are not patient, they may feel judged and harden their heart.
From today, become a person who have patience. When we know somebody wrongs us or do something bad, we can tell them with wisdom and tender love that they see God in us and give themselves to change.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, BEING PATIENT is not the same as BEING WEAK. For it means you are A STRONG, WISE AND HAVE A HEART FULL OF LOVE.
APPLICATION 1. Do you have patience in your life? How do you know it? 2. What are things that make you lose your patience? Why do you need to be patient? 3. How is your response according to the Bible towards people or condition that test your patience?
TODAY'S PRAYER "My good father, fill me with Your Spirit that we produce patience in my life. Make my life worthy living that through my life, revival takes place. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
