TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Romans 8:24-32
TODAY'S RHEMA Romans 8:28 "and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Nathaniel went home broken-hearted as he was just being fired from his job. He didn't know how to tell his wife about that. However, after he gathers his courage to tell his wife the bad news, she unexpectedly responded positively. She told him "I think God has a greater plan for us through this incident." Shopee did truly understand his husband feeling as he let his dream to become a writer go to work in the company that just fired him. He did it to fulfill the need of the family. Then she said, "It has been quite a time for me to pray and the Holy Spirit told me that you will succeed when you have time to write your book." Nathanael again, worried about the financial need for the family. Sophia then opened a drawer and took some amount of money from there. Apparently, she has been putting aside some amount of money and saved them in her drawer for years. The amount she took out was enough to live for the whole year. Nathaniel Hawthorne wasn't doing so well in his book-writing but instead of giving up and quit, he kept on writing. A year later, he published a novel titled "The Scarlet Letter" which was an internationally well-known novel.
Everything that God gives permission to take place in our lives, is never ever to be out of His control. He always has something for us in store even when it means we have to go through what we have to go through. Sometimes God uses problem to change things in our lives. Therefore, don't be too depressed if you are currently facing some problems in your life. Stand tall and think like a mature-children of God should think. Don't let worries to dominate your heart continuously. Fix your focus on God instead of on your problem.
Believe that God brings goodness in any circumstances we go through. Settle your heart down in peace that comes only from God and holding onto His promises. God will take us higher; He will make us the head and not the tail; He will bring us from glory to glory. What God has in store for us will not just to bring goodness for us but also to bring blessing to our surrounding.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, THE SECRET to live in PEACE is to learn to SEE that God is working in everything to BRING GOODNESS.
APPLICATION 1. What is the meaning of this phrase: "Seeing God is working in all of our circumstances"? 2. Why do you need to see that God is working in everything we are facing? 3. What can you do to live in peace that comes only from God?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Good Father, thank you that You never leave me. I believe, in any difficult situation I am facing, I am in Your hand. You are more than able to bring good in my life through whatever I go through. I believe, what You have planned in my life and what You about to do in my life will impact my surroundings and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen."
