Condition To Obtain God's Promises Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional October 23, 2017
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Hebrews 6:10-20
TODAY'S RHEMA Hebrews 6:15 "And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised."
The world is moving fast these days. We are accustomed to things that are done instantly. We eventually, without realizing it, rush God to answer our prayers. However, our timing is not God's timing and because of that people tend to go for shortcuts. If so, we need to learn from Abraham. The first time God declared his promise to make Abraham into a big nation, he was 75 years old. However, he only had his first child at the age of 100. 25 years is a long time, yet Abraham waited patiently for the fulfillment of God's promise.
We shall know, that the fruit of the Spirit is produced through situations that is opposite to it. Patience is mold through the waiting period. We might say that we aren't living in Abraham's time but that's just an excuse to justify our impatience. God has given us the Holy Spirit and we shall be fruitful because the Holy Spirit lives in us. So, whenever we face circumstances that challenge our patience, will you let your flesh to control you instead of the Spirit? The choice you make determines the fruit you will produce.
Put our hopes in Christ. As he is the intercessor between our hope and our Father's promise. Believe that God will He is never late to fulfill His promises. For us, His children to produce fruit for His Kingdom is the desire of His very own heart that others could see Christ through our lives. It is okay to bring one soul to Christ at a time because revival comes from one soul spread to another.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, PATIENCE is a CONDITION to obtain GOD'S FULFILLED PROMISES.
APPLICATION 1. What kind of situations that often put your patience to test? Why should you be patient in that kind of situations? 2. What can you do to ensure that you have patience and how is God able to use it for His revival?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, You know how I sometimes become impatient. Forgive and guide me as I may submit to Your will. Let me be patient through the situations I constantly face, that You may use me to touch the lives of those around me. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen."
