TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Philippians 4:4-9
TODAY'S RHEMA Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
War Room is an inspiring story about a wife who maintained the unity in the family through daily and fervent prayers. The story began with a husband and wife who always in a constant argument until the day when she met an old woman who not only taught her how to pray but also taught her to rely everything on God. One day, one of her friends sent a message telling her that her husband was cheating. Instead of being outraged, she started to pray. She didn't only ask God to take control of her heart, her temper, but also she asked God to intercede her relationship with her husband. She proclaimed that joy could only be found in Jesus, not in works, friends, or her husband. Finally, her fellowship with God in the "War Room" was able to make her husband turn to God and heavenly peace started to fill her family.
As long as we live on in this world, we will have to deal with problems encountering our lives. That includes the life of believers, the children of God. It doesn't generalize to all believers but there are some people out there who work so hard to solve their problems on their own strength and instead of solving problems, they add another problem to their old problems and worsen the situation. Life becomes so stressful and tense, there isn't any peace. On the other hand, we need to remember that as His children, we need to deal with situation wisely. Just like the wife in the movie "War Room" she didn't confront her husband carelessly, but she came to God instead.
Pray, because prayer changes things. An intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit will change the way we see the situation we are in. Furthermore, He will pour out the beyond-our knowledge kind of peace into our hearts. That is the time when all anxieties and doubts disappear. The minds and hearts are opened. His wisdom flows and all problems will be solve-able because we can see His guidance. Pray, not only for yourself, your family and loved ones but for the lost souls, so that God can use us to be part of His divine plan.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, PRAY in the Spirit so that He POURS OUT peace that surpasses all understanding.
APPLICATION 1. Has your life been filled with God's peace? Why? 2. How can you know that someone is filled with peace that comes from Him? 3. How to receive the peace that comes from God's?
TODAY'S PRAYER "My good Father, thank You for Your Holy Spirit who has taught me to pray so that the peace that is beyond our knowledge fills me. Thank You for bringing me into the higher spiritual dimension, so that I can walk in power and miracles. Please use me to bring in Your revival. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
