TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Luke 6: 43-49
TODAY'S RHEMA Luke 6:43-44a "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit."
In a small village, lived a farmer named Mr. Jony. He was a stingy man, he neither cared what his neighbors need nor helped them. One time, a missionary from a city came to preach the Gospel. Many villagers repented and received Jesus as their Savior, including Mr. Jony. He never missed any services held by the missionary. He read his Bible and had his devotion time every single day. Mr. Jony was a changed man that everyone in the village was surprised as well as delighted. The now Mr. Jony was a very helpful and generous person. Everyone can feel the change in him and be blessed. It doesn't end there, the change in Mr. Jony brought changes in someone else's lives. Those who didn't turn to God while the Missionary was there, were turning to God because of the change they saw in Mr. Jony. A great repentance happened in that village.
Some may think that one's character can never be changed, some people even consider that character is innate from birth. However, research showed that there are so many things predispose a character in every individual like environment, close people, life experience and lesson and belief. That is why people who are surrounded by negative things and accept them as the life foundation tend to have negative characters. On the contrary, people who fill themselves with positive things, tend to have good character. That was what happened to the figure in the story above.
Therefore, when we surround ourselves with divine things and live in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit will fill us instead of the world and at the end of the day, we will produce the fruit of the Spirit that can be seen through by others. When we produce the fruit of the Spirit, we will be a living testimony and become the agent of revival for His glory.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When you LIVE IN THE SPIRIT and be FILLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, your heart will be full of kindness.
APPLICATION 1. Have the divine seeds planted and grown in your heart? If yes, do you have kindness in your heart? 2. How can kindness and an act to be a blessing to people bring great revival? 3. What will do you do to be always full of the Holy Spirit so that you could produce the fruit of the Spirit continuously?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Holy Spirit, please touch my heart, fill me with Your love so it appears through my attitude. I want to have a heart which is full of Your kindness. Thus, I can give the best to win the souls, then revival happens and Your name is glorified. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
