Meditating on the Word of God three times a day was Jefta's decision since he took a commitment to fully follow Jesus. Previously he had a habit of getting up at six in the morning. Raised the prayer request to be blessed and protected by God, then get ready to go to school. However, since she was taking a commitment to be more intimate with God, she began training herself to get up two hours early. School, extracurricular football, and courses, really drained Jefta's time. However, her commitment to prioritize God made God's heart touched. After several months of carrying out her commitments, Jefta felt something different. Getting up early doesn't make him sluggish, but he feels more excited and burning in spirit. Even his achievements improved compared to before, especially in the field of football. Promotion after promotion began to approach him.
In general, most of God's children still live their lives as old humans. School or work is a top priority in our lives. We no longer have the time to fellowship with God. For us time is money, so it must be used as well as possible to pursue everything that brings blessings or benefits.
Unlike Jefta, as a child of God, living as a new human being who pursues divine things is more important than all the blessings of the world. Sacrificing sleep for her is not worth the sacrifice God has given. She realized that the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus on the cross was the most valuable thing she had ever received in his life. Therefore, she longed to be able to give his life to please God, love God deeply with all her heart, all her soul, and all her strength. The Word of God says, seek first the kingdom of God and His truth, then everything will be added. So, don't just chase blessings from God, but chase love, chase God's favor, so we will experience God's love even deeper. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Don't just CHASE THE BLESSING from God, but LOVE GOD with all of your HEART, SOUL, and STRENGTH. APPLICATIONS 1. In your opinion, which is more important and which is primarily, learning and working first and the rest of the time there is just looking for God, or looking for God first, then learning and working? 2. TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, thank You for Your deep love for me. Open my spiritual eyes even more so that I can see and explore how long, wide, and the depth of your love, so that I can repay Your love and serve You with all my heart, soul, and strength, and unite in the depths of Your love more and more.
