TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL I Corinthians 3: 1- 7
TODAY'S RHEMA I Corinthians 3: 6 "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow."
During his ministry, Apostle Paul had partners and one of them was Apollos. He was a Jews from Alexandria. With the blazing spirit, Apollos proclaimed the Jews that Jesus is Christ. To the church of God in Corinth, Paul said both he and Apollos were God's servants who were given a different gift but one purpose that was to preach the Gospel. Apollos part was to water, he watered what Paul had been planted. Of course, either Paul or Apollos didn't water aimlessly. They did it properly and wholeheartedly, thus God gave growth and brought the fruit of the Spirit in church's life.
As Paul and Apollos who did their parts properly, have we done our part properly as well? Let's look into our lives, have we done our part properly in all things we want to achieve? If we want to have a successful career we have to do our parts to be diligent and work hard. If we want to get a high score in the exam but we have to study hard. If we long to have a happy family we have to make time for them, if we want to be healthy, we have to stop eating unhealthy food. If we long for more people to come to know Jesus but we have to make efforts to preach the salvation and not being busy with ourselves or if we want our life to bear the fruit of the Spirit we have to obey God and find time to be close to God through prayer.
If we want to get the best result, we have to do our part properly. Focus on working and do it diligently with all of our heart. Because when we focus on studying, with God's help we will receive the best result, when we focus to make quality time with family, then with God's help we will have a happy family. When we focus on keeping the healthy-lifestyle, with God's help we will have a good health. When we focus on spreading the good news of salvation there will be more soul being saved or when we focus to live a life in obedience to God's Words, we will be eventually bear the fruit of the Spirit.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When you PLANT and WATER the growing seed correctly, GOD will give GROWTH and you may bear the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT.
APPLICATION 1. What is your part in taking care the growing seed? Mention it! 2. Do you let God do His part? 3. Are you longing to bear the fruit of the Spirit in your life? What will you do to make it real?
TODAY'S PRAYER "My good Father, enable me to do my part properly so that I continue growing and bearing the fruit of the Spirit in my life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
