TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 30:15-21
TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 30:15 "This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it."
How patient are you in waiting for God's promise? If you feel like you've been waiting for too long, let's check out the story of some Bible figures. Moses was waiting for 40 years, Joseph was waiting for 20 years, Abraham was waiting for 25 years, and Noah was waiting for 120 years. You might not know how long you have to wait on God's promise, but you can rest assured that God will fulfill His promises in His best timing with the best thing we can ever to receive from Him.
We might say that those Bible figures were chosen by God hence it was normal for them to wait on God's promises for a long period of time. The question is, aren't we all chosen by God as well? They are human being, just like us. What made them to not lose hope on God wasn't because who they were but who God was for them. The must have a very close relationship with God, therefore, they could wait for such long period of time without losing hope and patience. (Rome 4:18).
If any of you started to lose hope in waiting for God's promise, please don't. Hold onto His promises and don't try to look for any shortcut. If God hasn't answered your prayer until now, cast all of our disappointment. Patience isn't just about waiting for His promise, but also how our heart responds to His promise. See from God's perspective and not from our own perspective. Why do we rush while He knows the best time? Abide in God and produce the fruit of Spirit, which is to be patient and let others taste the sweetness of the fruit of our lives because this where transformation started which then lead into bigger transformation and revival.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Be still and don't rush; when you are patient, you will receive what is best from God.
APPLICATION 1. How do you behave while waiting for His promise all this time? 2. Why do you need to be patient on waiting for His promise to be fulfilled? 3. What kind of commitment can you take while waiting for His promise?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Jesus, I want to thank You for everything that has happened in my life. Help me to walk in patience so that I will have the right attitude in the waiting. Let me learn about patience which will bring up Your glory. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen."
