TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 32:15-20
TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 32:7 "Scoundrels use wicked methods, they make up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just."
There will always be a time when everything seems to go wrong in our lives. This is the story in a movie titled "The Shack." Mack as the main character lives in a harmony with his family- his wife and three children. Unfortunately, when they had a vacation, his youngest daughter was kidnapped and killed. It then became a mess. He became bitter for long period of time. However, after some time, he received an invitation from Papa (That was how Mack calls God, he refer him as Papa) and he went to the place written in the invitation card where he met three persons there.
One day, Jesus asked him to go across the lake by taking a boat alone. In the beginning, it was beautiful and calm ambiance, until the anxieties took over it. While the water was turning black, the boat leaked everywhere. The water got into the boat and it slowly sank. Jesus came, walking on the water, and said, "Don't look at it, Mack. Look at me. Trust me. None of this can hurt you." After Mack finally could focus on Jesus, everything came back to normal. There wasn't even any mark that the boat was leaking anywhere at all. The water was then still and clear. Mack proceeded the journey by walking on water with Jesus. The story of Mack delivers an important message. When the fear comes, look at Jesus. Look at His cross where we can find the peace that is growing inside our hearts. He, who had given His life and died for us, is also The One who keeps us secured and our lives well-kept. His great love will make Him finish the good work He has started in us. In the end, we will eventually understand that the way we see things determine the way we act. The peace we receive from Him will cause us to do great in our lives. When that happens, we will be a peacemaker in the midst of the uncertain world and be the agent of revival for His glory.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When we SET OUR EYES ON GOD, we will SEE RIGHT, THINK RIGHT, BELIEVE RIGHT, DO RIGHT and EVERYTHING will be RIGHT.
APPLICATION 1. How do you perceive your life's problems this far? 2. Why do you need to look at God in the midst of all your problems? 3. How can you learn to learn to look at God in all of the aspects of yours?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, thank you for always being beside me. I believe that You only prepare a peaceful future for me. Please use me to shine Your light in the midst of this dark world. Please get me prepared to be Your means of revival. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
