TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Romans 12:9-16
TODAY'S RHEMA Romans 12:12 " rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;"
Left by her husband with 7 children without any money wasn't easy. But Bertha Iriani Mariana believed that she could rely on God's helping hands. This hope she had on God, she instilled to each of her children. She reassured them that one day everything would be back to what it should be. While working to fulfill their needs, she prayed every day for her husband to come back. In the fifth year, her children began to get weary and almost given up. They let her mother if she wanted to get married to another man. Only one of her children told her not to marry. In the fourteenth year, their father came back.
That's a short story of Robby Sugara and his wife. Bertha always told the people whenever they are invited to share their testimony. Their story delivers the message that, whenever problems are encountering, one thing is tested is the quality of our faith as Christian. Are we patient enough, are we fervent enough in prayer though we walk in the darkest valley of our lives? God will never tell us to be patient without reason. Sometimes, problems are like quicksand. The more we are impatience and panic, the more will the sand swallow us down. He wants us to keep on hoping and be patience.
However heavy the circumstances might be, come to Jesus and keep holding onto Jesus, put your hope in Him, keep praying and trust Him that He will fulfill His promise. When He fulfills his promise because when that is happening, that will be a testimony for His glory, that a lot of people will see the hope in Christ.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When you ENDURE THE PROCESS, then you will be more able to be patient and that attitude brings glory to God.
APPLICATION 1. What kind of trial whichever happened or is happening in your life? How do you face it? 2. Why do You need to be patient on facing your problem? 3. How can you endure the process?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Jesus, lead me so that I can be patient on facing the trials in my life. I believe when I am patience, I will bring glory to Your name. In the name of Jesus, I prayed. Amen."
