TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Proverbs 17: 22 - 28
TODAY'S RHEMA Proverbs 17: 22 "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
A doctor told Elizabeth that she had an early stage cancer. He was very optimistic for Elizabeth to be cured, but Elizabeth wasn't the same. She's deeply sad and lost her spirit. Continuing focused on her illness, she became frustrated that made her lose weight, even her medical treatment's result wasn't impacted much for the recovery. One day, the doctor checked Elizabeth's condition, he stated that her cancer had worsened than before, she only had 2 months left to live. Elizabeth's family was very shocked but she calmly accepted this reality. As she didn't want to see her family in sorrow, she tried to cheer them up. She asked them to pray in order to get strength and joy from God. Time went by, it had been three months and Elizabeth was still alive. The strange thing is that she felt healthier than before. Being surprised by this condition, doctor re-examined Elizabeth, he found no more cancer cell in Elizabeth's body. A miracle happened and Elizabeth was stated as free from cancer.
As a human being, it is a common thing if we feel despair when we face the problem. However, to grumble will not help anything to get better. Our problem won't be solved by focusing and grumbling about it. When we come to God and ask the joy from Him, that when things will get better as He will do the work in our lives.
The Word of God is yes, amen and never ever to be wrong. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). Therefore, if it happens that you are sick, let your heart be filled with thankfulness and joy so that we will eventually be healed. Or maybe you are facing a problem right now, keep your chin up and rejoice in Him for He will show you the way out. Don't you wait for you to be healthy to be thankful, don't wait till all of your problems goes away to be thankful and to rejoice in Him because when you are rejoicing, your heart will be open and faith will be stronger, therefore, the power of God will be manifested.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, REJOICE! For there is a great BLESSING when your heart is full of JOY.
