TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 32:11-20
TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 32:15 "till the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest."
A science teacher gave an assignment to his students to plant some seeds. Each student has to observe and make a report in a period of time. For the first few days, the students were busy watering and mowing their mini garden. They were all anxious in waiting for the plants to grow. When they found the first sprout was sticking out of the soil for the first time, they were very excited. However, that excitement did not last long. A week had passed and they were all losing their enthusiasm, leaving their project off-handed. And after a while, they were all shocked to see how many weeds had grown and overtaken the precious plants they planted. Soon, they started to weed out their plants and turned their garden into a beautiful garden again.
Yes, any kind of seeds to grow easily on fertile soil. If fruits seed is sown, fruits also will be reaped. And every sower would plant only the good seeds. No one, intentionally, sows seeds of weeds or wild plants, but the enemy will be the one who sows it (Matthew 13:25). Just like the story of the plantation above, and so is our thoughts. Bad seeds could be sown anytime and messed up our lawn (heart).
However, do not forget that we can fight by sowing much more good seeds, that is the Word of God. When those Godly seeds are sown into our lives, we cannot just let it astray. We have to continuously water and take care of those seeds, so it flourishes. The Holy spirits were often illustrated as water, which serves a very important role in the growth of the plantation. Just like us, we really need the fullness from the Spirits, continuously, so that our soil in our hearts does not dry up. And so, all the Godly seeds that have been planted could grow and turn into a beautiful garden that bears fruits. Then, our spiritual life will not experience stagnation. Through us, God's work will experience advancement, cell groups will multiply greatly, restoration is happening, and so great revival occurs.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When you WALK WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT and EXPERIENCE THE FULLNESS, your life may BEAR MUCH FRUIT.
APPLICATION 1. Have the heavenly seeds been planted in your life? 2. How can the seeds grow and bear fruits? What is the role of the Holy Spirits here? 3. What can you do to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit?
TODAY'S PRAYER "God, I realize that without You, my life will be full of wild plants and turn dry. I need Your Holy Spirit, oh, Father, to water all the heavenly seeds that have been planted in my heart. Let the Holy Spirit fulfill my life always that I can bear fruits that are pleasing You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
