TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Matthew 21:33-43
TODAY'S RHEMA Matthew 21:43 "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit."
Every single day there will always chance for us to experience unexpected circumstances and when we happen to be under that kind of situation, isn't always easy for us to give a good and right respond. We always need what is called as constant self-control and our heart to always be on guard. Self-control doesn't always talk about restraining ourselves from doing a certain thing but sometimes self-control means "forcing' ourselves to do something. Take these example; when we are sick or exhausted when we need attention and care from others, but instead of taking care of us, they neglect us. This kind of situation could annoy us and push us to be mad or sad or angry. Or maybe, early in the morning, we have many reasons to skip morning-prayer before starting our daily routine. Or another case, we have to have a self-control when there is something inviting us to compromise.
Yes, in our everyday lives, there is always the thing that needs a strong self-control. True that we have to fight well to win over the will of our flesh. Feel free to ask the help of the Holy Spirit when you feel you can't take it anymore. Because only with a heart that loves Jesus and a commitment to please Him, we will survive.
God wants you to bear fruits for His kingdom. He wants you to bear not only fruit of the Spirit-self-control. God will not hold back His blessing to those who are fruitful. You need to be truly devoted and obedient and live accordance with the Holy Spirit's control then your life will be the living testimony that brings revival to your family and friends.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, You need to realize THE SECRET OF TRUTH that YOUR BLESSINGS may be TAKEN AWAY and GIVEN to other people who will produce their fruits.
APPLICATIONS 1. Why does God give a blessing to those who produce spiritual fruit? 2. What will you do to produce spiritual fruit? 3. What commitment will you make in order to have a life-bearing spiritual fruit?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, forgive me if I often lose self-control. I am weak without You. Take control of what I say, what I think, and what I feel. Let the spiritual fruit grow in my life. Let me live according to Your will. Thank You, Father. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. "
