TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Hebrews 10:32-36
TODAY'S RHEMA Hebrews 10:35-36 "Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:"
Job's godliness drew God's praise. The Bible notes that he was an honest, God-fearing man that stood away from evil. Asides from that, He also had a big family that was virtually perfect. With his wife, he had seven sons and three daughters. He was also well known for his wealth, with tens of thousands of livestock and lots of slaves. It was a life many would have longed for. However, asides his rise to success, he also experienced a great fall. He lost all his children as they were killed when a violent wind destroyed their house. All his livestock were stolen and burnt. At the same period of time, Job contracted a terrible disease that was on his whole body. His wife told him to curse the Lord and die, instead of supporting him. What was job's response amidst all those trials? The first thing he did was, he praised and worshiped the Lord (Job 1:20-21). Job did not leave his faith in God, he held fast to His promises. At the end of it, God restored Job, and He gave him twice of what he had before. Are you in a similar situation where there is no hope and you are growing tired of community, church, and becoming disappointed with God? Or will you give thanks and trust that the Lord will heal you? Like Job, let us hold fast to God's promises and never let go of our faith in Him. This Christmas, it is time for us to ponder upon the fulfillment of his promises to save us through Jesus. Believe that sooner or later, God will fulfill His promises in our lives.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Whatever happens, NEVER LET GO OF YOUR FAITH in His promises as GOD IS ABLE to do ALL THINGS.
