We often times forget that our lives are not all about us. When we talk about the great plan God has for our lives, we often doubt and see "the incapable me" or we see our failures in the past. We have difficulty believing that God is able to do great things in our lives or that God wants to use our lives. From today onward, let us open our hearts and learn to understand His heart. Never be discouraged when God is revealing His plan to you, don't be discouraged nor run away from His plan but just like prophet Isaiah, answer Him, "Here I am, use me, Lord", without any doubt in his heart he responded to God. Isaiah's confidence wasn't because of who he was but he understood well who was calling on him. God used Isaiah greatly. He wasn't just a messenger of God but also prophesied the birth of the Savior (Isaiah 7:14, 9:5-6) and future for all nations through the Savior (Isaiah 11). The world may view us from a different perspective. We may feel small before the mountain of problems confronting us. But we remain confident that God has a big plan in store for us. But God chose the foolish things of the world to show His sovereignty. Yes, when He is working a great plan in our lives, He doesn't mean for us to use our own strength. He isn't God who call those who are able, He is God who calls those who want to be used for His cause. Trust in Him that His grace is available for every one of us. Have faith that he will lift us and promote us beyond what we can think or imagine.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, The key to receive God's divine promotion and do great things is to believe in Him.
APPLICATIONS 1. Is there anything that God wants to do in your life but you are postponing it? What makes you doubt it? 2. Why do you need to believe before receiving a promotion from God? 3. What kind of commitment can you make to do great things with God?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, thank you for Your amazing grace in our life. We know we don't deserve it, but we want to continue doing great things with You. Here we are Lord, use us as you will in Jesus name. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
