God Wants Us To Be His Partner Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional December 23, 2017
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Matthew 2:1-12
TODAY'S RHEMA Matthew 2:3 "When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him."
When Jesus was born, there were some people who came from far away to worship Him. They were the Magi from the East. The Magi were considered as the Persian people and they were the unbelievers. However, they saw His star in the sky and followed it to seek the Messiah. They traveled for miles and miles to Jerusalem and looked for the baby Jesus. They told the story about the Messiah's birth to the people they met. They did not keep the joyful news to themselves, but they told many people, including King Herod. They did not realize that they were the messengers to the people in Jerusalem about the Messiah's birth in Bethlehem.
During that time, God did not use great leaders to spread the news about the birth of the Messiah. He used unexpected people, the Magi and the shepherds. God could do more than that, He could send the angels to tell people in the world, or use His mighty power through thundering sounds, but He did not. The Holy Spirit can touch people's hearts, but He does not want to do it alone. God wants partners to do His mission. God has chosen us to be His partners. It is not a coincidence. Like the Magi and the shepherds who had been chosen as His partners, we are all chosen as His partners to save the lost. We must spread the good news like the Magi did. Spread the good and joyful news of Christmas to everyone and prepare ourselves to be His partners to save the lost.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Don't keep the joyful news to yourself, God wants you to be His partner in saving the lost.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord Jesus, I thank You for giving me the good news. Teach me how to tell others about it and use me as Your partner to save the lost. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. "
