TODAY'S RHEMA Psalm 119: 148 "My eyes stay open through the watches of the night that I may meditate on your promises."
Challenges are a part of life. They may be little or big like a storm that is ready to swallow us. We sometimes focus too much on our problems and that lead us to make wrong decisions which go against the Word of God. God has given us His promises not only salvation but also good health, healing, abundant blessing, restoration, a secured future, victorious life with Christ as well. However, in order for us to stand firm in the truth, we must hold on God's promise.
David loved the Word of God and the promises in it. Even though he faced many terrible situations, he stood still on God's promises. David did not only meditate on God's promises and worship Him in his circumstances but he also faithfully worshipped Him at all times and eventually, he experienced the fulfillment of God's promise. David received more than what he could even imagine. His kingdom was established forever through Jesus Christ who was born from David's lineage. This promises was not only a favor for David but also for mankind, as we deserve to receive salvation through Jesus Christ.
Therefore, it is important for us to understand the promises of God for His children. Give much time to read and meditate on the Word of God. Take the best time, wake up earlier. The Word of God will be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. It strengthens doubtful and weak hearts. Moreover, declare the promises of God in prayer. Have a prayer which is full of thanksgiving as we know that our faithful and mighty God is more than our problems. This kind of prayer will touch God's heart and we will receive answer our prayers.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When you discipline yourself to MEDITATE ON THE PROMISES OF GOD and PRAY WITH THANKSGIVING and GOD will ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS.
APPLICATIONS 1. Have you set time apart to read the Bible and meditate on the Word of God? Why? 2. Why do we need to meditate on the promises of God? Where can you find them? 3. Is there any God's promise which becomes "rhema" for you? Mention it!
TODAY'S PRAYER "Thank You, God, for Your promises that give me life and strength. I believe that You will fulfill all Your promises for Your ways are amazing and I'm so thankful that I have a Mighty God. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
