TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 6: 1-8
TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 6:8 "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!""
There was a girl who was well known for her kindness in the city she is living in. She worked as a cleaning staff in the one and only hospital in the city. While doing her work, she would share about the goodness of God with the patients in the room. She would also pray for them voluntarily. Her word strengthened those who heard both physically and spiritually. Nobody knew that she was a shy, pessimistic girl with not many friends she had. However after she worked in the hospital where she saw many desperate people, her heart was moved and touched leading her to be on her knees, asking God what she could do for those desperate people in the hospital. Though she wasn't any significant person, she had a big heart that she was able to be a blessing to the surrounding.
We may sometimes feel like we want to help others but just don't know what to do because we have nothing to offer. Because though we have many things to offer if we don't make any effort to do anything, what we have will be nothing to God. Therefore, what He really wants from us is our willingness.
True, the problem is not what we can or can't do but whether or not we want to do it. If we have a willing heart to be the salt and light of the world, God will enable us to do so. He will anoint, equip and bless us so that we are able to show goodness to the surrounding. Through us, God will reach millions of souls and revival will happen.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, If you have a strong willingness, God will enable you to be salt and light of the world through doing good deeds.
APPLICATION 1. Would you want to be the salt and light in your place now? Why 2. Why is God looking people who want to, not able to be light and salt of the world? 3. How could you answer God's calling to be the salt and light of the world?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father in the name of Jesus, bring me to love you more. I want you to make me the salt and light of the world. Give me wisdom and enable me. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
