TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Matthew 5:42-48
TODAY'S RHEMA Matthew 5:45 "That you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
As a son of a British doctor, who lived in Africa, Peter junior often travel around with his mother to give vaccination to children who lived in small villages. One day, even though Peter's mom was just there to fulfill her duty to give vaccination to Rhodesia's people, she had the initiative to give vaccination for children of Ndau from Mozambique, one of the nomadic at the area. As Peter grew up and came back to Rhodesia as a reporter, Peter was suspected as a spy and was kidnapped. When the kidnappers talked, Peter suddenly recognized the language and tried to speak a little in their language. The head of the group was shocked, and Peter had the chance to talk about his childhood experience. Unexpectedly, the head of the group was one of the children that Peter's mom's vaccinated. All of a sudden, Peter status was changed from prisoner to the guest of honor.
"Giving is an act of love." Of course, many of us agree with that statement. However, God wants to share our kindness not only to our closest people. He will rejoice when we perform our kindness to strangers, even to our enemies or those who disadvantaged us. Today, let us learn to perform our kindness without differentiating. Please realize how big, and deep His kindness is. He raises the sun and sends rain not only for those who are good but those who are unkind.
When we crucifying our flesh, and start to share our generosity without differentiating, we will be blessed with God's generous heart. And at the end, we will be able to enjoy the rain of Grace and Goodness. He will take away our problems. And he will lift us up unexpectedly, and guarantee a bright future for us. Moreover, He will entrust us with a Revival that He is working on. Through our generosity, let us saved many lost souls in these end days, for Him.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God wants you to develop your GENEROSITY WITHOUT SHOWING FAVORITISM as He does.
APPLICATION 1. Do you still differentiate people in sharing your kindness this far? 2. Why does God want you to be able to share our generosity without showing favoritism? 3. What can you do to act your kindness without showing favoritism?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, forgive me for showing favoritism to people while I perform our kindness. I want to learn to have a generous heart like You. May it be through me, that You will bring Revival wherever I am. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
