God Helps You to Get Out of Debt Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional February 24, 2017
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Psalm 37:21-26
TODAY'S RHEMA
Psalm 37:21-22 "The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously; those the Lord blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be destroyed."
Ronny's family was quite successful and established in finance. He, his wife and his three children lived very well because of the blessings of the Lord. His real estate business that he ran always gave good income for the family. Until one day, there was a man who gave a fake certificate which caused him to suffer a great loss as he had to take the burden repaying the loss of his client. The certificate of the house where he resided along with his family had to be surrendered to the bank as a mortgage. Ronny was very frustrated. Even though it was not merely his mistake, Ronny had to take the responsibility to repay the debt that was caused by someone else. Fortunately, he and his family were spiritually strong and that was the reason for him to take the problem positively. With hard work and strength from God, he rose again from his downfall. One day, he decided to sell his car to run an appliance store by using unused space that belonged to his parents. In doing this, he had to crawl from the start with not as much profit as what he got while he was in property business. Moreover, he still had to repay his debt to the bank. The family cut down so many spending and Ronny, in this case, forced the family to save even though the income was still so little. It was not an easy thing to do. Many times they prayed to God asking for His help when the profit was only able to complete the schedule of the bank. It was an exhausting experience with tears, struggles, and which requires strong mental endurance.
But God is always a faithful God. When He sees His children struggling, He will not abandon them. Bit by bit, Ronny's store started to perform well and brought good income every month. Finally, they could get out of their strangling debt. Ronny could finish the debt and drew back their house certificate.
No matter how strong your desire to pay off your debt, and no matter how often you talk about that or pray for it, as long as you do not do anything to solve that, you will never be freed from your debt. Only when you dare to pay the price and take some real actions to reach to a solution, that way you will obtain your victory. Have faith that God Himself who will lead you out of your problem. Believe Him that the same God who gave strength to Ronny's family will also accompany your family and will become your Helper until you experience the same victory that Ronny's family experienced.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, taking SERIOUS COMMITMENT TO REPAY YOUR DEBT is not easy, but GOD'S GRACE and HELP will always be available for us.

What things do hinder you to take a serious commitment to repay your debt?
Why do you have to have a commitment?
Can you think about a resolution for you yourself so you can live in that commitment constantly? Write them down!
TODAY'S PRAYER "God, I am not able to be free from the chains of debt if I use our own strength. Give me the strength, and remind me about my commitment, o Lord. In the Name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
