Proverbs 21:5 "The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to want"
When Merry Riana arrived in Singapore for the first time, she did not prepare adequate funds at all. The money even was not enough to pay her tuition fee and to fulfill her living cost. Therefore, she borrowed scholarship funds of $40.000 from the Government of Singapore. Even though she already had loan, the fund still did not enough to fulfill her needs. She reckoned and realized that she only had $10 per week for maintenance. She had to use her money economically, thus she did not have a lot of food to eat. In the morning, she only ate instant noodle and two pieces of white bread for lunch. At the night, she joined gathering or seminar only for getting free meal, even, sometimes, she had to fast. After she graduated, she made a resolution about financial freedom. Her pledge, she would achieve it before she turned to 30 years old. She plunged into business world for the first time by running a financial service sector. At the beginning of her struggle, she still needed to skimp even though she already had a job. All expenses, she tried to manage it carefully until she finally improved her finance. Eventually, she succeeded to pay her debt off and confirmed her pledge.
In managing finance, it needs to arrange your budget and plan your expenses tightly. Here are the following steps about making your budget balance. First, list regularly all of your expenses every day in a month. This will give depiction of your monthly expenses and help you to understand your budget. Second, create a sense expenses plan. Remember, a good expense is not higher than the total income you receive. Third, use the plan as base of your expenses. The last, evaluate your budget and make a proper adjustment. It might be difficult to follow this guidance at the beginning, but, as you go along, you definitely adjust it fast and easy. If you are consistent to practice this new habit, with self-discipline, believe, God will pour wisdom on you so that you can manage your finance well. Month by month, your finance will improve and God, He will make it become healthier and fresher. By His power, He also will make you bear good fruits in your life.
