TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 1 Timothy 6:2-10
TODAY'S RHEMA
1 Timothy 6:9 "Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction."
Warren Edward Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska, United States of America, on August 30th, 1930, and then became a successful investor and businessman over there. Warren is very well-known in the world of stock market. Everything he says regarding stocks and their traits will always be referred by many people for their investment decision. In 2008, he once had a fortune to replace Bill Gates as the richest man in the world (according to Forbes magazine). Even though later on others ran faster to become no 1 in wealth, he still performed well and his wealth is still currently estimated at US$ 71,6 billion and he ranks at number two after Bill Gates. Besides a successful investor and businessman, he is also well-known as a philanthropist. He often gives part of his wealth to charity. He donated some amount of money that was recorded as the largest sum in history donated, about US$ 30 billion, toward Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Six years ago, along with Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, they altogether signed a treaty called "Gates-Buffet Giving Pledge," where they poured down their commitment in written form to donate at least half of their wealth to charity.
Money is one form that can be used by God to bless us because, with our money, we can buy whatever we want in this world. The question is, is that the primary purpose of God when He gives us the blessings of money? When God blesses us, He desires that blessing can also be used to deepen our personal relationship with Him, so we can also become a channel of blessings to all brothers and sisters in Christ, to grow spiritually, to evangelize to others and to serve God in enlarging the kingdom of God. Our practice in using our money can determine how well we receive the favor of God.
Plan our money well, and do not be ignorant, do not use it solely only to satisfy our flesh. God wants us to be wise in our money management. And do not worship money as our master, but work only for God, then money will become our servant to fulfill God's destiny for our life.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, use our money ACCORDING TO GOD'S PLAN and not use it to SATISFY OUR WORLDLY FLESH.
APPLICATION

What commitment are you willing to do regarding the utilization of your money for the kingdom of God?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Good Father in Heaven, thank You for every blessing You have given in my life. I pray so that I can use them according to Your desire and not merely driven by my own satisfaction. I also want to become blessings for others. In the Name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
