TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Proverbs 13:1-25
TODAY'S RHEMA Proverbs 13:18 "Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored."
A baby was learning to walk. She took a very little step, then continued to take another step. Her lovely mother was watching over her and calling her to come. But when the baby tried to step on, she fell and cried. She might think that her mother didn't take care of her because she didn't help her immediately. However, the mother had a reason; she wanted her baby to try again on her own.
Another illustration about a father who gave fishing tools (fishing rod and a can of bait) as a birthday present for his son. He wrote a note on the present: "Dear my son, from now on, I won't only give you fish but I will teach you to catch the fish with this fishing rod so that you could develop your skill just like daddy." This child smiled and said to himself: "Daddy has considered me as an adult."
When we think about the two illustrations above, do we realize that the mother and the father in the illustration portray our Heavenly Father? He wants His children to grow mature in everything. We are the beloved children of Heavenly Father. As a good Father, HE MUST LET YOU GROW MATURE THROUGH TRAINING AND DISCIPLINE. This includes our finance also. It is very easy for God to take out of a financial problem or any other problem but that will not make you learn anything which means you will not grow.
So for now, something that you have to do is strengthen your faith in God. There must be a good purpose lies behind your financial problems. Instead of asking why, it is better to seek what God wants to teach you about. The faster you understand and have willing to learn, the faster your condition is transformed and God's favor is ready to be poured out. Keep thinking positively because God has been waiting the time to pour down His blessing on you until there is no more need. Praise the Lord
