Behavior And Words That Bring Revival Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional November 23, 2017
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Psalms 15:1-18
TODAY'S RHEMA Proverbs15:1 "Gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
The most exciting feeling is to be accepted for who we are. But the problem is, when that attitude has made us feel that there is nothing in us that should be changed, then problem sets in. We have become too careless about how our behavior has made people around us feel rejected and dejected. With our so-called "The way I am" we indirectly force people to take us for how we are. For some, they may take us for who we are thereby seeing a uniqueness of personality; but how about the rest of people around us? Do we treat them equally?
With His great love, God has accepted us for who we are but He tremendously loves us to let us remain who we are. He doesn't want us to have bad character. He surely will not approve us to hurt others with our behavior.
We cannot be God's instrument and stumbling block at the same time. He wants us to embrace people who need His touch and as the children of God, we should gain a changed character to be more like Christ and produce Spiritual fruit. Let the spiritual fruit of gentleness grow in us that people will find peace through us. A changed life will actually speak louder to others as it is visible and brings them to the Lord until revival happens in our midst.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, GENTLE BEHAVIOR and WORDS bring FRESHNESS, COMFORT, and PEACE in people's heart.
APPLICATION 1. Why do you have to speak and act gently? 2. What's hindering you to speak and act gently? 3. How do you overcome the obstacles and focus yourself on how to produce the spiritual fruit of gentleness?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord Jesus, thank you for teaching me about gentleness. Let there be comfort, peace, and freshness through my words that so many people will be blessed. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen."
