TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
1 Corinthians 9:12-19
TODAY'S RHEMA 1 Corinthians 9:16 "For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!"
Welcoming Passover, Sandra was watching the movie "The Passion of the Christ" at church. Her tears kept flowing down on her face. She was touched by how Jesus sacrificed Himself for mankind. Jesus sacrificed Himself while people committed sins. He was tortured ruthlessly and He paid the cost of all sins committed by mankind. Sandra could not imagine how painful and dreadful Jesus was suffering from. He was insulted, mocked and finally, he died on the cross. He paid completely and redeemed our sins with His precious blood which was shed on the cross.
If we understand how great the salvation we have received, are we allowing ourselves to do nothing? Do we have any desire from deep inside our heart to repay His amazing and tremendous love that already given to us? As Apostle Paul has made ministry and preaching the gospel as the principle of his life. The calling that he could not refuse, Paul realized that the salvation he had received should be shared with others; he wanted others to experience His amazing favor.
In the ministry and evangelizing, we might be facing difficulties. Our work hectic, family affairs even bad weather can be used by the devil to stand against us. However, as Apostle Paul, we should realize that ministry and evangelize are a must. Don't compromise with the devil and remember, there are so many people out there need salvation so we must have this awareness to save the lost, not because the church or our obligation as a church leader, but our deepest willingness trigger us to do so.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, for us, to take up the cross is not a choice, A MUST thing to do and it cannot be BARGAINED!
APPLICATION 1. Why should you carry the cross? 2. Are you moved to serve and evangelize for God? What talent do you receive from God and use to serve Him? 3. What step can you take to serve and evangelize?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Heavenly Father, I am so thankful that You saved my life. Allow me to serve You. Use my life to win the souls. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
