TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

All of us delight to be cared for, however, there are times when we are so busy with our own world so we forget or become ignorant to show our love and care in the family. It is so important to show our love with our actions so that the people whom we love can feel our love and feel that their presence is important for us.
According to Dr. Gary Chapman in his book "Five Love Languages", there are five love languages that need to be acknowledged by everyone in every relationship. Those languages are affirmative words, quality time, gifts, serving act, and physical touch. Explained in that book that every one of us has different love language. E.g. a wife who has received so many gifts from her husband can feel that her husband not really loving her, that happens because her love language is having quality time together. She prefers to have time with her husband after work by sitting together and having a good talk.
To take care of someone or our own family can be an uneasy thing; but, isn't that love is willing to sacrifice? So does when paying attention to someone, it needs more effort; in terms of giving time, willingness, and heart; also it may require us to put aside our ego to show the proof of our love to them. However, we must know that what we sow we will reap. When we sow a seed of love, giving our care or even care to each other, we will get to know each other more of what the love language they need, that eventually those seeds will grow and be fruitful in the family. Those seeds of love will produce a happy and loving family in God.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, CARING FOR OTHER is a form of LOVE EXPRESSION because you are indirectly telling that THAT PERSON IS IMPORTANT to you.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Thank you, God, for the family You have given to me. Teach me so that I can pay more attention to my family member and express my love through actions. Help me, God Father, so that I can love like You have loved me. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen."
