TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Hebrews 9:11-22
TODAY'S RHEMA Hebrews 9:14 "How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!"
Everyone who comes to worship God must expect to be able to find God. By doing that, that person can speak out his/her requests and know God's will well for his/her life. But in fact, not everyone who comes to seek God can sense God's presence. How can it be? The Word of God says those who can see the Lord are those who have a pure heart because our God is holy and inaccessible by those who are still living in sins. How can our hearts be purified? The answer is by the blood of Jesus.
The blood of Jesus is not only capable to redeem us from sins, and not only able to break sins' curses in our lives, but the blood of Jesus is also able to purify our hearts so we can see God. The presence of God in our lives will enable to see His glory, His power, and His love. Other than that, we are also purified from worthless deeds and from many fleshly desires that always motivate us to commit sins over and over again.
If we desire to see the Lord in every church service and in all aspects of our lives, we can pray and ask so that the blood of Jesus shall purify our hearts from fleshly desires, the desires of the eyes, and also the pride of life. If we have a thirst to see the Lord, then we can ask Him to cleanse our spirit, soul, and body with His precious blood. Ask Him to fulfill us with spiritual desires, fruits of Holy Spirit, and God's characters. When the level of our heart's purity goes higher day by day, then things that are not pleasing to the Lord will be decreasing from times to times, and futile deeds will also be lesser in our life, and we can worship the living God. God's presence in our lives will be real and we will be overwhelmed with it.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, THE BLOOD OF JESUS is the key to HAVE YOUR HEART PURIFIED.
APPLICATION 1. Has your heart been purified? By what way our heart can be purified? 2. Why do our hearts need to be purified? 3. How can you avoid unpleasing deeds to God?
