TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Proverbs 11:17-25

TODAY'S RHEMA
Proverbs 11:24 "There is one who scatters, yet increase more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty."

Mr. Andy and his family leading a simple life, they were not a rich family. However, whenever he received any blessing, he always put aside 10% for the Lord. Sometimes as he was about to put the money in tithing envelope, he was tempted to use it for another cause because his family surely needed so many things. Yet, he was grateful because the Holy Spirit always reminded him that the blessing he received come from God. God's provision was perfect. He provided for his family's need on time.
Almost all of us experience likewise when we are tempted to use tithing money for something else. But have you ever thought, if God isn't a generous God, would the blessing we have received will be ours? Take a look at David. He wanted to make a house for the Lord, he always gives God the best of him. He never lacked anything. Though he gave a lot, his wealth never seems to be decreasing, but in contrary, he became wealthier. The Bible stated that king David died in glory.
We might want to ask a question, why does a rich God want our money? "'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts." Haggai 2:8-9. For sure, God doesn't see the amount of our offering but He sees the hearts that love Him and want to give the best to Him. The hearts that want to give all to Him. It is not only about offering or tithe, God wants us to be generous just like Him. Remember, God never be in debt. Every generosity we sow, He will return it double fold or even more. Perhaps it is in the other form of material such like good health, happiness in God, peaceful in the family, and many other forms of blessing. He is very generous and understands well about what we need. When we give generously it means we are showing God that we love Him and by giving an offering, we are supporting the work of God on earth, glorifying His name.

REFLECTION
Be generous so that the generous God will pour out the blessing in our lives.
