TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
1 Corinthians 7:1-5
TODAY'S RHEMA 1 Corinthians 7:5 "Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control."
Andi was a successful executive marketing in a great company. His job demanded of him to go outside the city for some times. One day, he took some days off to stay at home. He meant to rest till the afternoon, but his father forced him to accompany him to a mini market near their house. Before that, his father had asked him to go to a bank to transfer some money. Unexpectedly, they spent an hour in the queue. Feeling that his time was wasted, Andy asked his father why he didn't want to use internet banking. Smiling, his father said, "Listen to me, son, Daddy is more pleased to transfer via this bank because I can meet our neighbors and have a talk with them here. Praise the Lord, it was one of our neighbors who took your mom to the hospital when she got sick. You were too busy with your work outside the city. Your brother was busy with his company. For us, meeting people is very important."
Nowadays, people are too busy with their works, too many activities, and too addicted to their gadgets. This continues when they arrive at home. We may live under the same roof, but every person at home has his/ her own hustle bustle. Not only time for frisking, but also the time for having a meal together become so rare. It has no difference being in the bedroom or in the living room due to every person in the family is so busy with his/ her own gadget. There is no surprise if many people are feeling overlooked by their own family and getting closer and familiar with other people.
Our jobs and activities might be important to our life sustainability, especially our family. However, never neglect our family. We must make priorities. Ask God for wisdom to rearrange our priorities. When we start looking to each other and giving our time to be together, our love will start flaming. The more happiness will be shown by God for our family.
