TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Philippians 4:4-13
TODAY'S RHEMA Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice!"
One morning, after waking up, Kezia received a call that said she had just won a big prize for one billion Rupiah. Kezia was very happy and she rushed to go to the company who held that prize. On the way back from that company, Kezia was stuck in a heavy traffic jam, however, she didn't complain, whereas usually, she used to mumble whenever she got stuck in a traffic jam. Shortly after she had passed through the traffic, her car got struck and she had to wait for her car to be towed to the car repair shop; and that time, she didn't mumble at all. Her heart was filled with joy even though she had just had several troubles. That's because she had received a big prize.
If we experience what Kezia experienced, we might do the same thing. Now, let us think, every day we wake up with a good health, freely breathing, doing all our normal daily activities. Aren't those blessings from God so huge that if we cumulate and calculate, surely the value will be more than just one billion Rupiah. But, most of us are still used to mumble whenever we face a little trouble. Aren't we aware that when we are mumbling due to little things, we actually 'throw away' the joy from our hearts?
All that we have are God's gifts. Let us be joyful for the Lord keeps us alive. Be joyful because God always helps us in every trouble we are facing. Whatever happens, God always keeps us safe and God never leaves us alone. Isn't that more precious than any other worldly treasures? Therefore, let us make the love and the goodness of God, that new every morning, as the source of our joy.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, let GOD BE THE ONLY SOURCE OF YOUR JOY that you can ENJOY THE JOY FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT that surpasses all your understanding.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Father God, thank you for every blessing that You have given me. Forgive me o God, if I still complain at little problems. Help and teach me to always be thankful and be joyful in all circumstances I am in. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen."
