TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Philippians 2:1-11
TODAY'S RHEMA Philippians 2:4 "let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others"
A servant of God was once invited to serve in a drugs rehabilitation center. How shocked he was when he found a patient who was the only daughter of a famous servant of God there. After the ministry, he asked for some extra time to talk to this girl. After listening to this girl, he knew that the reason of this girl consuming drugs was because she was lacking her parents' affection. Her father used to have a ministry outside of the city and had never asked about her school progress. Moreover, when she got achievements in school, her father never congratulated her. She used to listen to her parents quarreling because of the father who never cared about his family and only cared about his name as a priest. Her mother did the same. She was so busy with her work and spent much more time in her office than at home. The girl then had a chance to freely hang out with her friends, entered into a wrong company and consumed drugs because of her friends' influence.
Let's reflect our attitude to our family. Are we too busy with our job so that we forget to ask our partner's health? Are we too busy with our ministry so that we don't have time to ask our children's progress at school? Are we too busy with our business so that we are being indifferent to our parents' condition?
If these signs of this ignorance to our family's interests arise, ask God for a mercy soon and start looking out for our family interests. When we look out to the interests of our partners, children, parents, parents in law, or children in law, there the love burns in our family. Our family will be restored and be more wonderful and joyful.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, If you LOOK TO THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS and DON'T THINK ABOUT OUR OWN INTERESTS, you are REKINDLING THE LOVE IN YOUR FAMILY.
