TODAY'S RHEMA 1 Corinthians 12:25 "That there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another."
Long before we are having a family life, we will have a lot of communications with our partner. There will be a face to face communication and also, an indirect communication through some media, such as telecommunication, the internet, letter and so on. Even more, we often meet our partner in a spare time of our activities. The more we communicate and spend time with our partner the better we know them. We will know the good side and also the bad from the intensive communication and time we spent together.
On the other hand, when we are having a marriage bound, that habit may change. Communication between husband and wife will be no longer intensive as before when we were dating. We will be busy because of our job, our children, our gadget, or maybe our Ministries so that we will have a limited time for our partner. Sometimes our duties are also keeping us away from our family. We do not have time to have a good communication with our family. Yet, communication is one of the reasons a relationship can last well. Of course, when we lack communication, there will be many problems appearing. There are many conflicts because of the lack of communication between husband and wife, between children and parents, between parents in law and children in law.
Because of that, no matter how busy we are in our daily activities such as jobs, school, hobbies and so on, we ought to provide a quality time for our family. Do not let our activities make a gap between people in our family. On the other hand, we have to be grateful for our activities, yet we also have to ask God's wisdom to organize our activities well so that we can have a better relationship with our family. Start to organize our schedule and our priority. Think how we can build a better family togetherness. Unity will make everything good, because when we unite, then we make time and also build a good communication with our family.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, the greatest things to bind family togetherness are communication and time.
