TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

2 Kings 2:1-15

TODAY'S RHEMA
2 Kings 2:6 "Then Elijah said to him, "Stay here; the Lord has sent me to the Jordan." And he replied, "As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So the two of them walked on."

Since young, we all have dreams. However, not everyone is successful in achieving their dreams. Written in one of the articles in Quarter For Your Crisis, based on survey, majority of people fail in achieving their dreams because people are afraid to pay the price of achieving it. Some are afraid of failure. And others just keep quiet, hesitant to do anything, and wait for chances to come.

Elisha is different; he was very persistent in pursuing his dream. As it is written in 2 Kings 2, Elisha did not just keep quiet; he was fighting for what he wanted with all his heart. Moreover, when Elijah asked him to leave more than two times, Elisha was unmoved. He had a strong will and a burning spirit. Such hunger and thirst that did not stop him from fighting. At last, he got what he wanted, that is the double portion anointing from Elijah.

How many of us is longing to get miracle from God? Surely all of us want it. However, how many of us is willing to pay for the price, and is ready to fight everything just to get that blessings? Often times, we forget even though to dream is a free, but we cannot just reach it without cost. Or, how many of us had prayed for so long, but that sign of miracle seem to never arrived? If that so, let us take the commitment to rise back. Remember that we all are incapable of depending on our own strength. Build your inner man and fight for everything that you had been dreaming. REFLECTION
Saudara Terkasih, when you have that HUNGER AND THIRST spirit, NEVER GIVE UP until God's goodness and grace are declared in our life.

2. Do you have that hunger and thirst spirit, just like Elisha?
3. What kind of commitment would you do to keep on being persistent to receive His goodness and grace?

TODAY'S PRAYER
"Jesus Christ, thank you for the vision and dream that you have given to me. Please give me a heart that is hungry and thirsty for your mightiness, oh Lord, so that I can always have that burning spirit and faith to endure on everything just like Elisha who received your blessings. I believe that your grace and goodness will be declared in my life.
In Jesus, I pray. Amen."
