TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Numbers 20: 2-13
TODAY'S RHEMA Numbers 20:12 "But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them""
The Bible mentions that Moses was a very humble man on earth (Numbers 12:3). By the spirit of gentleness, he brought Israelites out from Egypt and walked in the desert. However, the Israelites were always complaining and grumbling even though they witnessed themselves how God always led and looked after them for years. When they lived at Kadesh and there was no water to find, they began to complain and quarrel with Moses. Then God gave Moses instructions to say to the rocks uphill to burst out water for the people of Israel. Instead, Moses was so angry that he didn't say to the rock to burst water out but hit the rock with his staff. For Moses lost his temper, God considers it as disobedience therefore because of his disobedience God didn't allow him to enter The Promised Land.
Do you have the spirit of gentleness? Do you work hard to stay gentle? For sure, guarding heart is not easy. There are times when we can't help but to lose control and be angry and caused conflict that destroy any relationship.
Just like what happened to Moses, we could lose the blessing from God because of losing control. We ought to be gentle anywhere we are. Not only at church but also at home, work, and also our community. Ask for the Holy Spirit's guidance for not letting us lose the spirit of gentleness from our hearts. Therefore, we may obtain the blessings God has prepared.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, if you LOSE SPIRIT OF GENTLENESS, you may lose BLESSINGS ON EARTH.
APPLICATION 1. Kindly check your behavior, which ones that don' show gentleness? 2. Why should you not lose the spirit of gentleness in your heart? 3. How can you keep the spirit of gentleness in you?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father in Jesus, I pray for Holy Spirit to always lead me, so that I will not lose the spirit of gentleness in my life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
