TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Galatians 2:16-20
TODAY'S RHEMA Galatians 2:20a "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me."
"I only serve in the places where other people do not want to serve and only go to places where others have not yet gone into and do not want to go to," said Jim Yost, a missionary from the United States. Before his repentance, he was once bound by his addiction to drugs and at once was imprisoned because of it. By the time Jim repented and was still studying in Bible school, God put a desire in his heart for him to become a missionary. In 1977, God eventually led him to a place he could never even think of - the rural area of Papua which is often called "The edge of the world". In some early years during Jim and his wife's ministry, almost every week they had to witness tribal wars. They had many obstacles in a different language, food, culture and also malaria. Their ministry also failed as no one they preached to never wanted to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Jim and his wife often felt so lonely because no one paid attention to and supported them when they were desperate. The only thing they could do was just relying on and surrendering completely to God. One day, there was a child who was drowned in a river and found dead. When Jim was praying, miracle suddenly took place. The child came back to life. Witnessing the miracle of God's power, the whole people in the village finally believed to Jesus and gave themselves to be baptized.
When we want to give all comforts, desires, wills, times, minds and also our plans to God, then all parts of our life will start to unite with Him. The more we unite to the Lord, Holy Spirit will also reign in our life and does His noble works in our life. Therefore, we will not only experience a life accompanied by God's guidance in every and each moment, but we can also become an answer to those in needs and those who need salvation in Jesus' Name.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, surrender and God will fill your life with His Spirit and enable you to be in union with God.
