We frequently heard of a story about disharmony between parents in law and their daughter/ son in law. This also happens to Ica. Right after she got married, her relationship with her parents in law are fine. Moreover, she thought that they were a figure of ideal parents in law. However, as the days went by, an argument started, and it became worse. Ica was very disappointed with her parents in law's treatment which was not fair and not worth to do to her. Praise be to God, she was in a cell group. Here, she was reminded that God wants His people to forgive those who are against us, as what God always does and loves them. Deep inside her heart, she knew that she might not e able to forgive her parents in law by using her own strength. She then made a commitment to pray and fast in order to make her man of spirit to be arisen. She was gradually able to lift a prayer and bless her parents in law sincerely. At last, their relationships are recovered. When we have courage to take a step in our spirit life more and more, the Holy Spirit will work fulfilling us. He will renew our way of thinking, behavior, characteristic, flesh, and ego. We will have Christ's character and produce fruit of Spirit. We have ability to forgive and taste a great peace in our heart. There is no more bitterness, we can even love and bless those against us sincerely.
If we want to experience a life transformation, we can join a retreat named Encounter from our church. Just like the name, this retreat has a purpose for us to experience an encounter with God. Each session of the activity has been well programmed to assist us to experience healing and life renewal so that we are no longer what we were but Christ lives in us. However, it is only God's love that can heal and recover the wound in someone's heart. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, if we want to EXPERIENCE A FAMILY TRANSFORMATION, we need to RENEW OUR LIFE IN CHRIST everyday.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, forgive us as we still make You not the first in our life and family. Teach us Your love, so that we can love our family as You love Your people. Please teach our hearts everyday, so in our daily life, our family can also experience Your presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
