Mason and Lacey were a newly married couple. They altogether worked in the entertainment industry as artists. Both were Christians and built the family in Christ. As they enjoyed their 2nd year of marriage, unexpectedly Mason was tempted to be with other women. He had been cheating on his wife for several times. At the beginning, he could still hide it from the public, but as time went by, the news finally spread out quickly and was eventually posted by the media. Media started to interrogate Lacey with lots of kind of questions. But the answer they got was merely surprising. She said that she had already known about the affairs for quite a while, but nevertheless, not even once she wanted to divorce him. Moreover, she declared that she could forgive her husband and she would keep praying for the husband and also for the women with whom he cheated on her. And it is true that mercy and prayer always bring significant result. Finally, Mason came home after leaving the wife for some moment and their family was finally restored and reunited again.
When someone hurts our heart, too often we find ourselves reluctant to release forgiveness. The situation gets more complicated when the subject is someone whom we really trust. But, as a child of God, we need to realize that a heart that does not want to forgive will open a door for the enemy to destroy the relationship which is already unwell. Satan knows the power of unity, that is why he does not like to see unity within a family. And he will always work to create many frictions within the family. One of those works is by giving ideas in our heart to hate and not to forgive.
Let us remember that the Lord always advises us to release forgiveness at all times until seventy times multiplied by seven (Matthew 18:22). Even though it is not easy, but God's help will enable us to do so. Because in forgiveness there will be healing, and in healing, there will be unity and abundant blessings poured out.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord Jesus, You teach me well about how to forgive those who hurt me. Please touch me, o, Father, so I can have a gentle heart so I can release the true forgiveness until healing and unity can take place within my family. In the Name of Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen."
