TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Matthew 5:21-26
TODAY'S RHEMA Matthew 5:23-24 "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift."
Nobody would love to admit their mistakes. It is much easier for us to blame other people. We always want others to come and apologize to us first, otherwise, the fight will turn into silence, avoidance, or even punishment with certain conditioning. Maybe, that's what people tend to do; whoever does mistakes must be punished. Yet, have we ever thought that our standard of righteousness is the same with God's?
When human fell into sin for the first time, they started to blame other. Even Adam blamed God for putting Eve there with him (Genesis 3:12). But the good news is God didn't curse human being, but He arranged a given way for the reconciliation. Surely, the man was the one who made mistakes, but God is willing to come to the wicked world to save the human. He took the first step to bring the sinful human back become His. For His love's sake, humans who deserved to be punished were saved by grace; the relationship between God and humans was restored.
God always teaches us not to wait for other people to come to us, but we do our part first. When we relent we do not lose and when we put aside our ego and obey God, we will grow mature and become Christ like. There, we win our battle and our eyes open widely to see His heart even more. We can have a beautiful togetherness in our family. Don't let what's important dispose of what's the most important in our family happiness.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, to SOLVE CONFLICTS and BE PEACEFUL, you need to PUT ASIDE YOUR EGO and take THE FIRST STEP to apologize.

TODAY'S PRAYER "God, forgive me if I am still not able to bring peace to others. Give me the strength to put aside my ego and take the first step for the peacefulness in my family as what You want in with me. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen."
