TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Philippians 1:1-6

TODAY'S RHEMA
Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus"
When someone in prison is given a chance to contact his family members or his close acquaintances, almost everyone will give bad news about the unpleasant conditions happening behind the bars. Complaints will quickly add up to the conversation. Starting from bad food, queue for the shower, bad water quality, and bad treatments received from other inmates.

Apostle Paul was an exception. When he wrote a letter for congregation in the city of Philippi, there was no single complaints written in the letter. He even gave thanks and advised the congregation to rejoice in all times. This could take place because Apostle Paul worked and trained himself to give thanks in all situations and conditions, including during times when he had life obstacles. This does not mean that he was free from obstacles, but he could do that because he had learned to see good things still around even in bad circumstances. He was also very sure that God who had started his ministry, will also accompany him until the end. Apostle Paul also realized that thanksgiving could draw God's power to come in. The Bible also noted many miracles, breakthroughs and spiritual revivals were taking place during the time of his ministry. Through his life that was filled with thanksgiving, many repentances took place and many souls were saved for good.

The same thing often happens in our family. Each of us will surely have different problems happening. Probably it is a problem between husband and wife, parents and children, father-in-law or mother-in-law with son-in-law or daughter-in-law, or other kinds of problems. Just like Apostle Paul who kept fighting for his ministry to be full of power, we must also fight for our family to be healed and to have many miracles. Do not wait until all problems are solved in order to give thanks. Quickly take a serious commitment to giving thanks in all circumstances. Whatever is happening in our family, how difficult the situation is, how tough the problem is, try to give thanks. Trust in the Lord that He is able to work in every situation and to reverse bad things to become beautiful things. When we give thanks, God's power will work miraculously to heal our family.

REFLECTION

Saudara Terkasih, TO GIVE THANKS, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT for everything to be perfect; but LEARN TO SEE GOOD THINGS IN BAD CIRCUMSTANCES.

APPLICATION

1. What kind of attitude do you have on your family's conditions?
2. What kind of healing do you desire to take place within your family?
3. Do you still give thanks fot the condition of your family? How do you give thanks?

TODAY'S PRAYER
"Good Father in heaven, enable me to continue to give thanks for the conditions of my family. I believe somehow You will send healing. In the Name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
