Whether you want it or not, like it or not, ready or not, the fact is every family faces a conflict. It can be between husband and wife, parents and children and parents in law and children in law. Every family has their own way to face a problem. There's a family who can resolve it immediately. But there's also a family who can't, so in the end, they are broken.
One thing that's often ignored in resolving a family problem is the attitude of the heart. When facing a problem, people tend to be impatient and quick tempered that cause them to lose their common sense and maturity. Instead of resolving the problem, it causes another problem. Whereas, patience is important for every one of us. When we are patient and able to calm ourselves, we can think clearly, so we're able to have a clear vision about what is happening in our family. When we are calm, we can more focus on praying. This way, Holy Spirit can work through our lives.
Hence, when a conflict hits our family, face it with patience. Find the right time and place to solve it. Seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit before you talk so that it won't hurt them. Also, have an attitude that focuses on resolving the conflict and fixing the relationship. Don't be angry or judge them. When we're able to solve the problem in the right way, not just the problem is resolved, but also it can make our family happier.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, resolve your conflict in the right way, right timing, right place, the right attitude, and wisdom.
