TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

TODAY'S RHEMA Genesis 2:18 "The LORD God said "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him""
In the world's opinion, especially in East, women often labeled as weak. Moreover, their roles in society and family less matter than men. It's very different from the Bible. The Bible says that wife should obey their husband, but it doesn't mean that husband is more important to God. In fact, God gives husband and wife the same important roles in the family. Husband as the head (1 Cor 11:3) and wife as the helper, as the neck who supports the husband. Even the Bible says that a virtuous wife is a gift for husband.
Virtuous wife includes her roles and tasks, mentioned in Proverbs 31. From she wakes up until she goes to sleep, a wife is demanded to handle things in daily life: managing things at home, family's income, become a source of blessing, teaching their kids about skills (Proverbs 22:6), and teaching their kid to be close to God (Hebrews 12:5-11). In addition, she also becomes a helper for her husband so he can do great things.
That's why women were made to be strong. Because it's impossible for a weak woman to be a helper. Strong in this context is able to handle all the responsibility in life, both in work and family. Moreover, wife also bear the responsibility for her husband and children. But, as a human, it's hard for them to bear it all alone. That's why we need Jesus in our family, so, each of us, whatever our role in the family, able to do His will. If a wife walks in the word of God, then unity in family and peace will be upon her family.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God created women as a strong person so that she can do his role as a helper for her husband.

TODAY'S PRAYER "God, please forgive me if all this time I've complained about my roles. I realize that I can't do this alone without you. Give me the heart to understand Your will as You created me so I am able to do my roles in the best way. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
