TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

TODAY'S RHEMA Philippians 1:9 "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,"
One evening, a father promised to take his children to watch a circus. The children got dressed neatly more than an hour before the time that had been promised. They had been talking about the circus to their mother for the whole day. As the plan, their father went home after having lunch and wearing casual clothes. While they were stepping out from the house, the phone was ringing. Those children were listening when their father talked on the phone. It seemed there was an urgent case that their father had to overcome. Slowly, their happiness turned into disappointment as the dark cloud covered the room. However, it's out of mind, the father said that he would go to the office tomorrow morning. When his wife looked worried for he might have taken a wrong decision, the father said, "The circus will come another time but their childhood won't."
To maintain the harmony in the family can be more difficult than to settle a family. Many families are ignored by fathers or mothers who are too busy for office activities, hobbies, and even church's service which seem never end. They go in the morning and come home at night, there's no quality time with their family. The close-heart relationship between husband and wife, or parents and child starts to get farther. Not being realized, their love has faded and the family loses its warm.
When we feel that the love in our family grows cold, today, God reminds us to rekindle the love in our family. Fill up our family with the abundant love. Surely, it needs struggle and sacrifice. We must lessen our time for a hobby, refuse additional assignments from office, and even lessen our service schedule in church if there's no time left for our family. Those things are the price we have to pay to get harmony, happiness, and joy in family and also to bring the heavenly atmosphere on earth. Amen.
