TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Hebrews 12:1-17
TODAY'S RHEMA Hebrews 12:14 "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy, without holiness no one will see the Lord."
One day, a married couple went on for a trip. When they were passing a desert, they got into argument. The husband was angry and shouted the harsh words at his wife. The wife wrote on the sand "today, my husband hurts me". They continued their journey and found an oasis. They took a rest there. The wife was excited to see the spring pool and went for swimming. Little did she know that the pool was very deep, so she almost sank. Fortunately, her husband was very quick to jump and help her. After being saved, she wrote on the stone "today, my husband saves my life". The husband became curious and asked her why she wrote on the sand when he was angry and on the stone when he saved her, the wife answered that when her husband hurt her, she wanted to forgive him and forget the pain. But, when her husband did something good for her, she would keep it in her heart and never forget it.
Every family must have faced conflicts. Whether the conflicts between husband and wife, parents and children, or in-laws-family. God has made us different from one to another. It is natural to have conflicts because of the difference between each other. The most important thing is finding a way to resolve the conflicts within the family.
A family which does not know how to resolve the conflicts will have many unsolved problems, such as disappointment, bitterness, jealousy, heartache, grudge, and hatred. Those may lead to a broken family. In contrast, a family which knows the way to resolve the conflicts will be able to fix problems, accept the differences, and avoid quarrel. The bond in the family will be much stronger, there will be more unity, more success, and happiness. Even though there are many conflicts in life, we must learn to grow the ability to resolve the conflicts in order to create a peaceful and happy family.
