TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Luke 19:1-10
TODAY'S RHEMA Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."
An unusual thing happened. The home of Zacchaeus, the tax collector, who was well known for his greed and his love of money, was never an option for people to visit him. However, that day was unusual as a crowd of people was standing on his porch murmured about something. Gaze of wondering, gaze of mean face, gaze of full of question were seen among them. Some of them shouted, "He is sitting in the house of a sinner." Yes, that day Jesus was there in Zacchaeus' home, even dine in his home.
The people assumed that Jesus was done something despicable because Zacchaeus was an unworthy sinner. However, in the sight of Jesus Zacchaeus was worthy because he was the lost lamb and Jesus wanted him to return. As we all know, Jesus succeeded in His attempt. Zacchaeus the lost, returned back, repented and restored.
Now, picture in your mind a piece of 100.000 rupiah bill. A brand new bill or folded bill, both has the same value of 100.000 rupiah. Even if it is soaked in mud or accidentally stepped by people, it doesn't change the value of the money.
Just like the illustration of a 100.000 rupiah bill above, so does the life of Zacchaeus in the sight of Jesus. What Jesus did with the "dirty money" was to picked it up, washed and cleaned it until it is clean enough just like the brand new bill with no lesser value. The good news is, the value of your life is far more beyond what you could even imagine, which is equal with the blood Jesus shade on the cross.
Have you ever lost something and you will do whatever it takes to get back even if it requires your life? If you make a sacrifice to the extent of losing your life, what you have lost must be a very precious thing to you. THAT IS THE VALUE OF YOUR LIFE IN THE SIGHT OF JESUS'. Therefore take that as a gracious grace of God for you and live it. Open your heart and let his mercy enter your life. For sure, your life will be transformed!
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, although man is just like a flying dust, but by the grace of the Lord, we are made worthy and valuable in His sight.
APPLICATION
In what area of your life are you still feeling down because of unworthiness of God's grace? Why?
Open your Bible and declare about what God says about you to fight against intimidation Devil tries to go after you! Make it as your rhema to fight against whatever hindering you from receiving His great blessing!
