TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Psalm 86:1-13
TODAY'S RHEMA Psalm 86:13 "For great is Your love toward me; You have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead."
Todd White was born in an atheist family and had become a drug addict for 22 years. Too many times he committed theft, fraud, and other criminal activities. Todd's family gave up on him and did not want him anymore, that is why one day Todd was so frustrated and planned to commit suicide. Before doing this desperate act, fortunately, Todd happened to walk on a random road and accidentally read an address of particular church within the city. He then came to that church and met a pastor who soon told him everything he knew about Jesus Christ. That pastor also advised him to surrender his life to Jesus. Without thinking twice, Todd agreed, as he thought who else would want to accept someone with a life that was so terrible like his. He started to come to church and tried hard quitting drugs which he consumed every day, but he was not able to do that. Five and half months later, he gave an empty promise to a fierce drug dealer. That drug dealer came to Todd and shot him within three meters distance. At the same time, Todd heard a small voice saying, "I am taking that bullet for you. Now, are you ready to live for Me?" Todd was not hurt at all and his car was not even damaged by that shot. Since that day, he no longer had his addiction. Later on, he came to a retreat where he met Jesus in a vision. Now, Todd White is a teacher and a chief pastor in Lifestyle Christian Ministry. His family is also healed totally by the Lord.
The life story of Todd shows us how big the love of God is to us. God does not want the death of anyone. He gave His great salvation for all human with no exception including to those who are considered useless in the eyes of the world. God can heal someone's life, no matter how hard or though his condition is.
How many of us who feel that our sins or faults are so great and continue to live in shame because we think that we are not worthy to be helped by the Lord? Know this fact that the love of Christ is far greater compared to all our sins. What the Lord wants is our repentance when we fall. Remember, His everlasting love is always new and His grace is always fresh every morning.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, NO MATTER HOW TERRIBLE our life has become, GOD'S GRACE always prevails.
